Thrown up LUCKY BEACHCOMBERS have found deposits of ambergris – whale’s vomit – worth thousands of pounds washed up on beaches in North Wales. Ambergris is used in perfume manufacture and is worth £10 a gram.

Compact help UK PHOTOGRAPHER Maria Munn is running a number of one-day workshops to help divers with compact cameras improve their skills.
