Long Term Testers
Five bikes tested over the course of a year.
Back in issue 33 we introduced you to a handful of bikes that we’d be riding in 2007 in addition to our regular diet of magazine test bikes. The idea with these was for them to be ridden as if they were our own, to evolve over time as components wore out (or fell out of favour) and to give us a better idea about how the bikes, and the components on them, fared over time. We had an interesting mix of experiences. Some bikes were ridden almost daily, others languished in the workshop needing spares, or waiting for the owner to stop testing bikes for the magazine and ride it – just like our own bikes at home. After a year, though, we reckon we have a pretty good handle on the bikes here.
