Welcome to the Burke’s Peerage Shelf

Burke’s reference works deliver the definitive guide to the genealogical history of the major royal, aristocratic and historical families of the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States of America. More than one hundred editions of the Peerage have been published since 1826 along with numerous other books including Burke’s Irish Family Records, Burke’s Landed Gentry and Burke’s Family Index.

The Burke’s Peerage Shelf delivers a selection of Burke's genealogical book titles past and present as a complete package and is available on annual subscription both to individuals and to organisations. Where additional titles or new editions are added to the shelf this will be done without any extra charge during the subscription year. Users of UK Public Libraries are able to access the Shelf using existing technology both within libraries and remotely on home computers and internet enabled devices.
