Made in Trollhättan

At 58 degrees north, almost within sight of the arctic circle, Trollhättan, a small industrial town in Sweden, is the home of Saab. Its geography and climate – long summer days and cold, cold winters – have a profound influence on its inhabitants. Their nurture of nature and desire for simplicity shines through in Scandinavian creativity. So inevitably, in 1944 when 16 Saab aircraft engineers were asked to design a car, this individuality would create something unlike anything else on the road. 2010: The all new Saab 9-5 Those roots have not been forgotten. The all new Saab 9-5 differs from any other car you’ve seen or driven. The difference is there to see – light clusters echoing ice sculpture, aircraft inspired cockpit controls including a head-up display which could be straight from a Gripen jet fighter. Which might also account for the powerful driving sensation and turbo technology.
