Afew angry letters this time, on privatised railways and electric bikes. We didn’t realise first Great Western had so many friends! Not at 40 Manor Road.As for the recent emphasis on electrics - there’s something of a revolution going on, with spec rising and prices falling. This month, Ezee launches the new Liv, with a spec that should blow most other £600 bikes right out of the water. And Powacycle has responded with the £600 LPX models, the first massproduced bikes fitted with a lithium-polymer battery. If that all sounds terribly boring, how about circling the globe without flying (Bromptons come into it),a military folder, waterproof maps,a French slant on the Spanish Brompton grand prix, and what Dr Moulton really thinks of the Birdy? Something for everyone we hope.
