Editor’s Note Iam constantly thinking, mostly about the world and if things have changed or if it’s me that has changed. I suppose it is probably a bit of both. With so many global issues on the main stage, it’s tough to remain in balance. For me, there are two major issues that I always think about. The first one is the environment. We really need to get our acts together on this one. If you don’t recycle or switch off the light, there really are no excuses. The second one is the constant state of war that is occurring all over the world. With an “out of sight, out of mind” attitude, I feel that most people are missing the severity of all the conflict. Where is this going and why? Although, it’s pretty chaotic out there, I try to think on the bright side of humanity. It’s my motto and just who I am. You see, there are so many things that are actually worth celebrating. I heard someone once say, “I am existing perfectly.” That’s just brilliant, and something worth emulating. Within Issue 15, we’ve been fortunate enough to catch up with Benjamin Zephaniah, John Agard and Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze. We’ve seen some great artwork and bring you the latest from the ICA, BALTIC, October Gallery, and Chambers, as well as recommend to you the best art exhibitions to check out this winter. We’ve brought to you the latest independent film reviews, as well as a feature on African Cinema. With regards to music we have Lambchop, The Pipettes and David Kitt. There is so much inside that it is bursting with cultural goodness, and something for everyone. I hope that you enjoy the issue as much as I do.
