A life size statue of the Goddess Diana. H 145 cm. Marble. Roman, late 1st-early 2nd cent. A.D. Head of Diana and the dog possibly by Cavaceppi, late 18th cent., Rome. Provenance: William Waldorf Astor (Viscount Astor of Hever Castle), acquired between 1890 und 1905. Hever Castle; later, Sotheby‘s London, 11.-12. July 1983. Then the Allen E. Paulson Living Trust.
