Jesus, you must really hate me. RAYMOND i don't hate you. VALERIE Well I don't feel loved. I mean, that ain't love! Can't you see the mess we ' r e in? Have you not noticed what we ' r e like? I mean, w e don't talk any more. W e don't make love any more. I can't remember the last time you touched me. Janet pokes her head from the flat to check on Valerie. Just get in, Mum, will y a ? Just get in, I 'm dealing with it. Janet goes back inside. I mean when you go out, you go out with your mates. And when you are indoors, you're pissed out of your fuckin' brain asleep infront of the fuckin' television! I turn it off, go up to bed, you follow me up at three o'clock in the mornin' stinkin' of booze. That's what I get! Either that, or you're knocking about! (she looks tired) I'm thirty today. And I feel so fuckin' old. You know.... I 'm so tired. I wanna be able to look back and say I had a bit of fun, you know, when I 'm old. instead of saying everyone felt fuckin' sorry for me! I mean, that's the life I 've got. Do you hear what I'm saying? I just don't want it. I'll find somebody else. You know, somebody who can love me. Somebody kind.
