Suma is a workers’ cooperative - a radical and progressive business managed and owned by its dedicated workforce. We are passionate about offering ethically produced food you can trust. Our product range is carefully selected to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles, balancing your needs with the needs of our planet. Starting life as a distributor of wholefoods in the mid-seventies, growing rapidly through the eighties and nineties, cresting the wave of mainstream interest in organics and fairly traded produce, spearheading the provision of dietetic foods in last few years to arrive at where it is today, a £25m company with 140 workers. Delivering daily throughout the UK and Europe to a client base which ranges from multiple grocers and premium department store food halls at one end, to geographically remote communities at the other. A product range of some 6000 lines, covering food and drink, as well as household products, cosmetics and dietary supplements.
