WHO’S WHO

Contributors

ALISON TYLER

▲ writes about family ski resorts in ‘Snow Problem’ on page 132

As travel editor at Glamourand the EveningStandard, Alison has tested spas in the Maldives and bars in New York. Now she takes one-year-old Florence with her to review family getaways.

Has having a baby cramped your style? ‘Not at all, although I never imagined I’d ski down a mountain to breastfeed my baby, or change nappies in Europe’s hippest après-ski bar! And next season we’ll put her on her first skis – I can’t wait.’

GAYLE RINKOFF

▲ styles our ‘Pretty in Print’ shoot on page 32 Fashion stylist Gayle Rinkoff has worked for top fashion brands, styled celebs – including Zoe Ball – plus worked her magic on TV shows such as FromPopstartoOperastar. She is mum to six-year-old twin girls, and is about to give birth to her third child. How do you dress your own girls? ‘They’ve created their own look and both have their own style. One’s very girlie – quite neat and prim – and the other one’s a bit rock ’n’ roll. I switch between those looks, so I guess there’s a bit of me in each of them.’

HEIDI SCRIMGEOUR

▲ sees the funny side of life in ‘Let’s Have a Laugh Mum’ on page 60

Heidi is a freelance journalist who swapped the bright lights of London for a sleepy seaside town in Northern Ireland, where she is woefully outnumbered by her husband, sons Edan and Zack,

and one wayward male cat. What makes you laugh? ‘My lads can always be relied on to make me laugh – usually when I’m tr ying to be stern and tell them off. And Courteney Cox in CougarTownis guaranteed to make me laugh out loud.’

KERRY FOSTER

▲ writes ‘The No-Fuss Guide to Great Hair’ on page 106 Kerry has written for BootsHealth&Beauty, Holland & Barrett’s Healthyand the-beauty-pages.com, and has a son, JJ, just a few months old. What’s your top tip for hair? ‘Work with its natural texture. I’ve always had long hair but at seven months pregnant, inspired by Dannii Minogue, I got a sharp bob – not a great idea for naturally wavy hair. I cried like a baby when I got home and have been growing it ever since!’

SALLY WATKIN

▲ asks ‘Still Eating for Two?’ on page 112

Mum to Molly, 14, and Jasper, 11, Sally’s written for the Mailon Sunday’sYou, TopSanté, parenting books and websites, but what she loves best is snuggling up with a book and a glass of dry white wine. How do you keep family meals healthy? ‘I ask the children what they’d like and give it a healthy twist, like chunky home-made chips with the skin on for extra vitamins. If they have a stodgy main course, I prepare lovely fruit for dessert.’
