Photographer Jason says of this getting this shot: “Keahi De Aboitiz and I were both pushing our personal limits the day this image was shot; both pushing to get deeper and deeper. The consequences for both the rider and photographer can be extreme when shooting kitesurf barrels with a fisheye lens. Lines can cut flesh like a knife through warm butter, a board can bash, cut or pierce like a weapon, and the reef can slash, bruise or break bones.
