We have a fascinating collection of articles for you this time, from a 12-inch gauge ‘garden’ line in Australia to one of the most fascinating and complex 71/4" networks in the UK, via one of the finest collections of 101/4" locomotives. Luckily, there is not much to report from our own line, although we were hoping to show you some entertaining snow plough photos... next time perhaps. Instead, a new, and hopefully regular, Spring feature entitled ‘Where to Go’ - a section showcasing the finest miniature railways. And on page 11 we’ve compiled a list of open days and special running days this summer. The list excludes ‘Days Out with Thomas’ and suchlike, concentrating on special running events. It’s far from complete, but it includes a number of interesting events, some on lines that only open to the public two or three times a year. So there’s no excuse. Get out and enjoy yourselves!
