oving house is never easy, but it’s a great deal more complex when you’re also moving a small publishing business. But we’ve arrived safely in Dorchester after seemingly never-ending disruption. The bad news is that our Maxitrak Opal project was boxed up in July and we’ve only just got the workshop up and running again. The good news is that we now have a 100 metres of garden to play with and track laying has already begun! More on the trials and tribulations of building a miniature railway on page 37. Elsewhere, we’ve - rather surprisingly - profiled a closed line, but the story is a fascinating one and the locomotives and rolling stock have mostly survived. Finally, thanks to everyone who has subscribed to Miniature Railway, in some cases before the first issue had even been printed. We’re delighted with the response and have been overwhelmed by the avalanche of subscribers. Clearly a Miniature Railway magazine WAS overdue.
