ith such a variety of lines to cover, and space for only three or four each issue, we sometimes struggle to satisfy everyone, but we’re quite pleased with the balance in issue 6 - a rediscovered 5-inch line in Snowdonia, completion of our own 71/4-inch line, a 101/4-inch freight line in Dorset (yes, really!) and England’s most northerly steam railway, making a good case for15-inch gauge... It’s hard to believe we have been producing Miniature Railway for nearly two years, but it was in February 2006 that we visited the Poole Park Railway, a story that was to be the centrepiece of issue 1.Thanks to everyone who has subscribed; to our growing list of advertisers - particularly those who had the faith to sign up from the start - and to the many enthusiasts who have helped with photographs and information. The history of miniature railways is often convoluted and confused, and although we don’t always succeed, we try hard to get the story straight!
