Latest issue: COVER 38 (Spring 2015) offers the lowdown on the best rugs and textiles seen at the January design fairs plus looks ahead to Milan's all-important Fuorisalone in April and other upcoming events including New York’s ICFF and Clerkenwell Design Week in London. Our upcoming ‘COVER presents’ shows, which will be held in Milan with Jan Kath and cc-tapis, are the focus of two eye-catching features on the fantastic new collections from the two premium brands.
The first of our four 10 year anniversary issues is packed full of the latest rugs from Henzel Studio’s new Tom of Finland collection and Heidarian’s collaboration with Iranian textile designer Nikoo to Hunt Slonem’s carpets for Lee Jofa, patchworks by ICI and Floor to Heaven’s nature-inspired floor coverings. For inspiration we look back at the work of the Memphis Milano movement and Sonia Delaunay’s carpet and textile designs while our trend reports focus on botanicals and pastels.
Looking at textiles, we aim to dazzle with the beautiful work of architect and designer Emmanuelle Moureaux, artist Henry Hussey’s loud statement pieces and a report on the future of fabrics. Textiles this issue are both fun and fantastical and include US artist Richard Tuttle's London shows at Tate Modern and the Whitechapel Gallery, fabric futurist Natsai Audrey and the amazing installations of Numen / For Use, Toshiko MacAdam and Janet Echelman.
