ROSBERG WIN

SHAKES UP TITLE FIGHT By James Attwood

FORMULA ONE

Rosberg took first victory for Mercedes in 57 years

Mercedes ace Nico Rosberg put himself into the world title battle with a stunning maiden victory in last weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix.

The German started from pole and controlled the race, despite fears that his W03 challenger would be too hard on its tyres. Rosberg has warned his rivals that he expects the Mercedes to be even faster during the rest of the season.

“We are still not where we want to be, and we will keep pushing to improve our race pace even further,” he said.

The win was Mercedes’ first as a manufacturer since 1955. Silver Arrows strike, p2-3
