74 90 6-22 THE NOISE In The Noise this month we give you a Big Picture-styled peek at what to expect from the return of one-man army and former Rock Sound cover star Skrillex ahead of his biggest UK tour to date, an exclusive chat with Coheed & Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez as the band continue work on their upcoming sixth album, words from Architects and Lower Than Atlantis as they prepare to hit the studio once more, the inside story on the new album from Sheffield metal crew While She Sleeps, and Asking Alexandria’s Danny Worsnop gives us his tips on how to make this Valentine’s Day the sweetest yet in the first of his regular columns. 24-34 EXPOSURE Tasty new bands, anyone? Then get these bad-boys (and girls)

down yer neck! This month we focus on staggeringly young mentalists Marmozets, kings of noize Castles, summery math-rock gents Bear Cavalry, big-hearted punks The Social Club, Aussie metalcore mob Confession, pop-loving alt-rockers Diamond, pop-punk darlings Decade and beatdown survivalists Last Witness to name but a few. Phew. 36-73 FEATURES After countless months of rumour and speculation, UK rock kings Lostprophets return with their forthcoming fifth album ‘Weapons’, and Rock Sound is at hand with the world exclusive first word on what is sure to be one of 2012’s biggest rock releases. Elsewhere we’ve got one of the best illustrations you will EVER see as

Protest The Hero frontman Rody Walker talks ice hockey, New Found Glory talk us through the making of their self-titled classic, Lamb Of God revisit their punk rock roots, rock survivors InMe get serious and Panic! At The Disco get set to take over the UK all over again; plus much, much more… 74-97 REVIEWS We rate the new album from recent Rock Sound cover stars Young Guns, as well as releases from Attack Attack! (US), Gym Class Heroes, Napalm Death, Therapy? and more, We Are The Ocean have their way with this month’s singles, while there are live reviews of Asking Alexandria, All Time Low and The Black Dahlia Murder alongside this month’s ever-rocking gig guide.

THE REAL SOUND OF PROGRESS One mild, sunny day in 2001, I took a day off school to go to a car park in Edmonton Green in North London. A band I’d recently fallen in love with were filming a video there, and I’d been lucky enough to have been selected to appear in the crowd shots – their debut album was about to be re-released and everyone felt genuinely excited about this British band who looked like they could break through. The band was Lostprophets and the video was for ‘shinobivsdragonninja’; today, over a decade later, they stand ready to reclaim their position at the head of the top table of rock. I for one couldn’t be happier that they’re back. Ben Patashnik, Editor
