The Old Bridge, over the river Neretva, in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was destroyed in the Croat-Bosniak war in 1993 and was re-built in 2004. It is now a symbol of peace and reconciliation. On International Women’s Day, 8 March, women all over the world will be standing on bridges to promote ‘bridges of peace and hope’.
