Welcome to Issue 4 of Electric Bike magazine!

Coming through the depths of winter towards the more cycling-friendly summer season, it’s a busy time in the cycle trade. New 2012 models are being launched left right and centre. With this in mind we’ve made space this issue for no fewer than seven reviews of the latest bikes, along with a look at the recent debate about the future regulation of the e-bike market – an important issue with the potential to affect the whole industry’s future.

Meanwhile the bikes just keep on improving even under the current rules, as you’ll read in this issue’s crop of reviews. We had the privilege of riding a really good variety of bikes this time, from an affordable folding bike to high-end sports machines; there should, I hope, be something of interest for almost everyone.
