The Spectator

Simple but effective ★★★★★ 5 stars
by Edward Jones
I just want to read the Spectator on my iPad. No fancy menu, no selected articles, just the magazine. This app is perfect and good value. You can also read back issues and it works quite effectively on my iPhone as well. Highly recommended.

I have installed the app on my iPad and bookmarked the website on my desktop computer. Access via both the app and website are amazing! Superbly designed and easy to access and read. The facility to print or save as a PDF on the website is a welcome bonus for occasionally saving or printing a particular article. For those who have a subscriptions to The Spectator, there is no additional cost, of course. First Rate!

An excellent application, I am a keen reader of the magazine, now available on the iPhone. Rankin is an inspirational photographer whose work is outstanding in concept and visual appearance. Overall this app is excellent at no cost...

I have purchased your iTunes app for the iPad called "Philippi 42BC", which is excellent. I would like to ask if you will be putting more of these Osprey publishing titles into the iTunes App store?

Congleton Chronicle

I live in Congleton and can now get the paper on my iPod for free.

Nice little app, what does it matter if it's just a scan of the pages. Loads fine on the 3GS fair enough it takes a few minutes to sync at first but that's all. Also for your money get editions from months earlier, not sure how much use that is but it's better having loads of old hardcopies knocking about that you haven't thrown out yet. Picture quality is very good.

The Wire

A must have ★★★★★ 5 stars

Sure the resolution needs to be bumped up a bit. I am sure they will get around to this. It's nice that they have their own stand alone app for subscribers. Oh... And the searchable back issues... That's just amazing.

Now my iPad is complete. I can't believe I'm reading the best music magazine here! Keep the issues coming! Cheers!

I feel complicit in the death of paper publishing, but this is just wonderful. The Wire has been my favorite mag for over 10 years, but it's expensive, can be hard to find, and U.S. Subscriptions offer no savings at over $100 a year. $5.99 a month for access to both the current issue and the entire digital archive (with search!!!) is a STEAL. .

Publishers Weekly

Fabulous! ★★★★★ 5 stars
by marygoblue
As a retired librarian, I can tell you that having access to Publishers Weekly was one of my favorite perks. Each issue has an unbelievable number of book reviews, and I really enjoyed being able to read those in this issue. I hope that I will be able to afford continuing access, as there is no price stated in the description. Great job with the format, easy to page through, and easy to enlarge the font when I needed to.

This is a joy to see. Hope a subscription can be had at a reasonable price soon and that other magazines learn how to use the iPad so well; I would switch from paper without hesitation.

Nice app! ★★★★ 4 stars

As a subscriber to the paper copy of The Philosophers’ Magazine, I really love the fact that I can have this now on my iPhone. I love the fact that the latest version is available off-line, so I don't need a wifi link to read the mag.
